Almas Tower, Dubai, UAE
A special lifting fork
for a highrise on it‘s own island
This highrise building is located on its own island within the Jumeirah Lake Towers development. Almas Tower has 65 floors, whereby 60 floors will be commercial and 4 will be service floors. The height of this tower will be 365 m. It will be the tallest of all the buildings on the development when completed and therefore it will be a landmark building. With its dramatic glass design and spiraling theme surrounded by water, the Almas Tower will be completed by mid 2007. On this site there is a beam support table folding type in use. This was specially created for this project in order to cast the slab along with the beam slab precast. So all the beam support along the sides can be shifted at one time from the top three level down with a special lifting fork.
