Indigo Tower, Dubai, UAE
Floor cycle time of 4 days is
one of the advantages of the ACS system
The Indigo Tower is located strategically on Sheikh Zayed Road, between the fifth and sixth interchange. It is situated in close proximity to some of Dubai’s famous sports, leisure and recreational facilities. The tower will have a height of 140 m and will contain 35 floors. The residential part of the tower comprises 272 apartments and the commercial part of the tower comprises 68 offices over 8 floors. The construction end is expected in 2007.
A floor cycle time of 4 days was achieved on this 35 floor and 4 basement tower using ACS Self Climbing System with Vario Wall Formwork for the main core, TRIO Panel System for the shore walls, VARIO Column Forms for columns and swivel head table forms for typical floors. The basement retaining walls were constructed using VARIO with the SB 2 Single Faces Formwork System and the floor slabs using MULTIFLEX on props or PD 8 Slab Support System, dependant on the height. MULTIFLEX or PD 8 was also used for the high mechanical floors that occured at various levels of the super structure.

Mr. Karl-Heinz Bayer
Senior Project Manager
“As per our previous good experience on other towers with the PERI ACS system for the complete core walls, it was an easy decision to use it also for the INDIGO TOWER project. Advantages of the PERI ACS system - Once the PERI ACS system components are assembled and in place it is working Crane independent, good for short cycles to achieve, providing a high safety standard for our tradesmen.”
