5 towers right next to the prestigious Emirates Palace Hotel
Arabian Construction Company has signed a contract to build Etihad Towers, a mixed-use development right next to the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. It will comprise five towers ranging in height from 55-76 storeys. The project consists of 4 underground basement carparks (133,615m²) which can accommodate approx. 2,900 cars, a podium (18,062 m²) for commercial/retail purposes, 51,785 m² hotel area.
TOWER-1 (67 floors) including roof will serve as a Hotel (400 rooms) and serviced Apartments (200) with an area of 69,545m².
TOWER-2 (76 floors) including roof will comprise of Residential Apartments (300) with a built up area of 80,150m².
TOWER-3 (55floors) will operate as an Office Tower with a total area of 71,397m².
TOWER 4 & 5 (62 and 57 floors each) including roof will serve as Residential Apartments with an area of 89,621m². (Tower 4 will contain of 312 Residential Apartments and Tower 5 of 193 Residential Apartments).
The skeleton of the project is a concrete reinforced structure with curtain wall facade. The total built-up area of the project would be 512,812 m². The total plot area is 33,070 m².
The project is at the podium stage which has nontypical floors. Once the typical floor height is reached a 5 day cycle time is expected.
The project will be completed by the beginning of 2011.
