A3 Tower

ACS is climbing crane independently in the Jumeirah Lake Towers

The A3 Tower which is located in the Jumeirah Lake Towers district in Dubai is a 34 storey residential tower with 2 basement carpark levels. The project started in August 2007 and is up to level 15 at the moment. The slabs are formed with MULTIFLEX and Swivel Head Slab Tables. The slab of the Amenity Floor which is located on floor 15 is supported by using slab tables on top of PD8 towers at a height of 6m.
A cycle time of 6 days for the slabs was achieved but a cycle time of 5 days is what the constructor is aiming for at the moment. The achieved cycle time for the corewalls is 7 days. VARIO panels with ACS-R self climbing with a size of 24.0m x 8.0m is used on this project for the care wall but there are a dozen of partition walls inside. 3-types of pumps are used with about 160 linear meters of hydraulic hose required for the pumps.
A 150mm indent from the external wall of 550mm at level 15 will occur leaving a new wall thickness of 400mm throughout the remaining walls.
The retaining walls for the basement with an area of 33.0m x 50.0m and a pouring height of 3.50m were done by using VARIO GT24, SB-Brace frames and SKS Climbing brackets. They were designed to be cast in 4 pouring sequences and allowing to cast the two watertanks monolithically by SB-1 Brace frame supporting Vario Panels.
Basement walls will climb in 2-lifts more using SKS-180 climbing brackets.
The columns in this project were designed using adjustable Column Vario Walers to suit all sizes with a pouring height of 3.30m for typical Floors with 3-levels of steel waler and a 4.50m column for high level usage.
