This sewage treatment plant will be the world's most modern Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR) plant, situated on the world’s newest landmark Palm Jumeirah, developed by Nakheel.
This sewage treatment plant will be the world's most modern Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR) plant, situated on the world’s newest landmark Palm Jumeirah, developed by Nakheel. The wastewater generated on the island is will be treated and will be used either for irrigation, or to serve to plants.
Internal diameter of the single sided circular external tank wall: 75.0m
External & Internal wall thickness is 600mm & 400mm respectively.
The total height of the tank is 14.6m having 2 intermediate level slabs.
For the external Wall, concrete was poured in 3 vertical lifts and 16 horizontal sequences with a formwork height of 5.1m by using 4 sets vario + single sided brace frames SB2. Back propping was provided by using PERI MULTIPROP.
For internal walls, 2 Sets of 620.0m² double sided wall formwork Vario of 5.2m height was used to pour concrete with 50kN/m² conc. Pressure.
